After taking degrees in philosophy, Anthony worked at Anscombe Bioethics Centre for a number of years before joining SPUC as Education and Communications Director. He continues to produce academic research in bioethics.

Colin was a full-time carer for Alison Davis, a severely disabled woman, from 1989 until her death in 2013. From 1985-1995, Alison had a persistent wish to die and attempted suicide on several occasions, but she later became a noted anti-euthanasia campaigner. Colin is a speaker, writer and academic.
