Individuals can support us by becoming a Friend of Care Not Killing or a Friend of Care Not Killing Scotland.

A Friend is an individual who:

  1. supports our aims of promoting palliative care and opposing euthanasia;
  2. donates £10 or more to further our aims.

All Friends receive a quarterly eNewsletter and are entitled to participate in events and activities organised by Care Not Killing.

Organisations can support us by becoming Core or Associate Members.

A Core Member is usually a larger organisation that:

  1. can continue to act independently on issues of concern to the Alliance, but must agree not to do anything to contradict or undermine the group's aims or to duplicate work done in the Alliance's name;
  2. is represented on the Advisory Board, which decides the overall framework and content of Alliance activities;
  3. is willing to support Alliance policy;
  4. is expected to assist in carrying out the work of the Alliance, e.g. writing of briefings, organisation of events;
  5. is asked to participate and encourage its members/supporters to participate in events and activities organised by the Alliance;
  6. makes an annual contribution to Alliance costs of £1,500.

An Associate Member is either a smaller organisation, or an organisation for whom opposing euthanasia and/or providing palliative care is just part of its work. An Associate Member:
  1. can continue to act independently on issues of concern to the Alliance but must agree not to do anything to contradict or undermine the group's aims or to duplicate work done in the Alliance's name;
  2. is willing to support Alliance policy;
  3. receives the minutes of Advisory Board meetings;
  4. is invited to attend Advisory Board meetings when issues are being discussed on which it has particular expertise;
  5. is asked to participate and encourage its members/supporters to participate in events and activities organised by the Alliance;
  6. makes an annual contribution to Alliance costs of £50.
